Using word97-2000 RTF files as template

For a report module I would like to use a word97-2000 rtf file as a

template. In this rtf file there a headers and footers and a table of

content.

In this template file I want to insert on certain places RichView

formatted text. In this way I want to create a report.

I tried to open such rtf file in richview, edit it somehow, and then

save it again.

When I did this the headers/footers where gone and the table of content

was converted to a richview compatible layout.

Is it posible to open such rtf file and edit it without losing all the

'word'-information? If not, do you know a work around?
