I see you found a solution for your problem.

Note: if you want to implement this replacement as an editing operation (by

the way, the Protection property affects only editing operations, it does

not affect DeleteItems and InsertRVFFromStream), use the following:

1) Remove the protection

2) Select the field (rve.TopLevelEditor.SetSelectionBounds

3) Use InsertRVFFromStreamEd (-- Ed at the end) to replace the selection

4) Restore the protection
