Unfortunately, many Windows API functions working with Unicode text are

unreliable, and it's sometimes hard to define if they fail or not. A

different set of functions is used when BiDiMode=unspecified and

<>unspecified.

The problem may even depend on font. Probably, it will not occur if the text

is formatted using 'Arial Unicode MS'.
