No, char over char is not possible.

But it's possible to implement replacement on typing.

For example, user types '(c)', and it's automatically replaced with '©'.

But the font must have this character.

Of course, you can use custom drawing (OnDrawStyleText event), but it has

limited possibilities because the component calculates caret and selection

positions basing on the original text.
