You need to include rvoTagsArePChars in RichViewEdit.Options.

Making perfect user interface is not always a simple task, and demos must be

plain and clear.

If you do not want to use RichViewActions, you can study a code for

TrvActionInsertHyperlink in RichViewActions.pas

Example for checkpoints is in Demos\Delphi\Editor 1\

After some improvements in checkpoint mechanism, support for checkpoints

will be included in RichViewActions.
