They are 99% compatible. There are some obsolete methods, but they are not deleted and still work. All problems in compatibility are listed in the help file, the topic "Compatibility with older versions of RichView" (the last overview topic) > > Hello, > > I am currently developing a IDE for basic delphi development and is considering > getting a TRichView license, but would like to know if the highlighting features > requested for in the following link has been implemented? > > http://www.trichview.com/support/dnewsweb.cgi?utag=&cmd=xsearch&group=trichv iew.support&key=highlight > > > Another question, I'm currently implemented TRichView 0.5.1 free edition > in my project, if I get the registered version, can I use the component without > changing any code or procedure calls? ie:is it fully backward compatible > "out of the box"? > > Thanks > Allan |
