(I'm not a beginner- I've been using Delphi since before 1.0 was released. What I don't understand that well is how the Windows help system works.) Just to make sure I didn't screw up, I just did it again, and now, again, all the Delphi 7 help topics appear in the Delphi 5 help contents. But none of the TRichView topics appear in the index page of the help system- e.g., I type "TRichview", and it hits "TreeView Items Editor" and doesn't find anything richview related. But if I drop a trichview on the form, and hit F1, it finds it. Another anomoly- in the OpenHelp dialog, the RichView.cnt file (and the .hlp files) show no Title. The help files I'm using were just re-downloaded from the web site, to make sure I have the latest versions. Interestingly, the files in the separate download for help only are dated last march (3/30/03) but the help files incuded with the RVPkg.zip download are newer (10/10 for the cnt and 10/23 for the hlp.) I suppose it's possible that this is something specific to my system (I'll check tomorrow when I return to work), but none of the other help files I've added have done anything weird like this. |
