Posted: 01/10/2003 23:11:38 I tried most of the IME available in WinXP and Win2000. I had the same problem as you once. But when I set the TextStyle character set to respective language, I got the true character. Unicode are just numerical value (or codes) which can be the same as in other Unicode languages. The character set determines which character the Unicode should belong to. Try to read the topic on 'Unicode' in the Delphi helpfile. They explain much better. I have just tried all the IME in Win2000 and WinXP. They came out just fine. For normal ASCII text, it is single byte and there for does not need Unicode. Wish you all the luck.
