its a simple procedure. i shall outline the logic here...


- create table. (1 x 8)

- repeat

  - for each column insert string into table.cells item & format

  - insert a row

- until table.height < 510 pixels

- delete the empty row

- add item to rve.


subsequently i discovered that the table.height returns proper

values after i add the table to rve.

also, on hindsight, i think that the problem could be occuring

because i am using setitemtext to insert strings. (??)

my strings are clear... no cr/lf/tabs/break chars.


to help you debug...

-i had a para style with -15 first line indent/30 left

- text style using 13 point

- all default rve options

- my first two rows returned 38 as the height and were displayed

  as two "lines". the word wrap is perfect.

- the next line returned 19 as the height which was again OK.

- after this i start getting values like 76/95 for rows which

  should have 19 as height.
