Metafiles in different Windows versions

Hello Sergey, hello all!

I have the following problem with Metafiles used with different Windows

Versions. I have stored a metafile using TMetafile.Savetofile with Delphi 7

prof.

I have uploaded this file and 2 screenshots on the server here:

Now I take the "Editor 1" demo named RVEditDemo from the Delphi demos

(compiled with Delphi 7 and Richview Version 1.8.22 or 1.8.22.1).

Using RVEditDemo.exe I first clear the Richview (File/clear) and then insert

(Insert/picture) the Metafile profil.wmf. It is large so one has to make it

smaller which is no problem in the RVEditDemo application.

Now using Windows 98 (first ed.) or Windows ME the metafile is not displayed

completely!

It looks like the screenshot in win98.jpg.

Using XP or Windows 2000 the Metafile is complete: see winxp.jpg. Here I

have taken the same RVEditDemo.exe appl.

Now, exporting it to RTF in Windows 98 also shows not the complete graphic

(opened in MSWord 2000), but other parts are missing! Exporting to HTML

shows the complete graphic!

The same behavior if Metafile is.enhanced or not...

Can someone imagine what's the reason for that and how can I get that to

work in all Windows versions?

Is this a richview problem or a windows problem or maybe an error in my

metafile? Any idea?
